Golden Nite-Cap Recipe

soothing nite-cap that helps fight depression and inflammation!

Mind

It’s getting colder out there. The mornings are darker, I’m tired with all the running around I’ve been doing (soccer, swimming, gym, library, grocery shopping, etc, etc, etc). By the time I get home from all the activities it’s dark again and I really just want to sit and relax.

I’m exhausted and my muscles hurt, the kids are cranky and a(nother) glass of wine this week prob isn’t the best idea….

this sounds like a recipe for stress!!!

Stress can be a leading trigger for not only depression, but inflammation too and I can bet that’s not something you’re willing to spend your time dealing with (on top of everything else).

So I’m going to share my easy go-to creamy nite-cap, so you can try and release yourself into a comfortable night.

tumeric latte

We’ve all heard how incredible turmeric can be…

and no matter how tired you are of hearing this,

if you haven’t sat up and taken notice yet

you still have time to do so!!!!

This ancient Spice is from the Ginger Family. It’s a Knobby Root Tuber that has a tough but thin skin.

But what does it do for us???

Turmeric has fabulous Anti~inflammatory properties (inside & outside the body), its noted to work better (& without any side~effects) then Ibuprofen & many other harsh Pain~Relieving Medicines. It has incredible Anti~oxidant properties, particularly in the protection from Free Radicals as well, it provides superb protection of the Colon lining. Turmeric has a very intimate relationship with DNA, can help destroy Cancer Cells & Cancer causing compounds while it increases the body’s production of Cancer fighting compounds. Turmeric also plays a significant role in Liver Detoxification, may help prevent Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, MS, & other Brain Related Dis~eases.

In regards to detoxing, Turmeric is known to increase bile production, is an incredible antioxidant and will increase enzyme production to destory toxins. It’s also the liver’s favorite spice.

**Turmeric’s deep yellow/orange colour can permanently stain anything a lighter colour then itself (including countertops, clothing, dishes, etc), so take care.
